Full Day Falconry Course voucher
Falconry UK's "one day introduction to falconry" course offers a unique insight into the art of falconry. Throughout the day, emphasis is "hands on" and you will be given the chance to handle many different species of raptors. The birds used on the course are owls, hawks, buzzards and eagles.
The day begins with a tour of the centre where you will be introduced to the birds that you will be encountering on the course. You will be shown different techniques for handling birds of prey safely which will be followed by a step-by-step guide to training a bird of prey.
The day includes a "Hawk Walk" where you and one of our falconers take a Harris hawk out of the bird of prey centre and into the grounds of Sion Hall. The hawk is then let off to follow along as you walk, this not only allows you to see a bird of prey in a more natural setting, but with a healthy local rabbit population you may also see the Harris Hawk doing what comes naturally ... hunting! The day ends with our Eagle Experience which gives the course people the chance to handle and fly some of our eagles here at the centre.
The day begins at 10.30am and finishes as 4.30pm. A light lunch is provided and the Falconry staff will be on hand to ensure you have an enjoyable and special day at the centre.

Half Day Falconry Course voucher
Your day begins at 10.30am with a brief introduction to the birds at the centre, and then you start with the practical hands on side of falconry where you can learn the falconers knot, handling the birds, weighing them and how to control them on the glove. You will also be shown the various equipment used in falconry. To finish off your course you will fly one of our Harris hawks for an hour around the grounds of the hall and put into practice what you have learnt during the course.

Owl experience voucher
Why not treat someone to an full hands on owl experience, the experience starts at 10.30 when you meet, handle and fly a vast selection of our different owls that we have at the centre. Our Falconry staff will be on hand to ensure you have an enjoyable and special experience a break for refreshments is included.

Similar to a half day course with plenty of handling of different birds and a mini Hawk Walk.

Once your course has been paid for, we regret that we are unable to issue refunds. However - we can re-schedule your course date or re-issue your gift voucher with a different name if you require.
